2011 Meme

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Became a college student, ordered off Amazon, spoke a sentence of horribly butchered Spanish.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions, because I know I won't keep them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not close to me, no.

5. What countries did you visit?
None, sadly.

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Driver's permit/license, a job, my own money.

7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 14th, July 7th, October 28th.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Passing my college class.  And getting my first B in math since the seventh grade (I'm a solid C student in math).

9. What was your biggest failure?
I did really bad in my CSC class for a couple of weeks, and my grade started to drop.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Towards the end of last year, and into this year, I've been getting really sick just after I wake up for no apparent reason.  I had to have blood work done to see if it was anything serious, but of course everything came back fine.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My tablet.  Oh god, it's like my child, I love it so much.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My Aunt Glenda's.  It takes a lot for someone to say they were wrong, and even more for them to apologize.  And I really appreciate that she did.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Just a couple people, but they're not an issue for me now.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Sugoicon, food at school.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Sugoicon and a couple of other things.

16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
There are several songs that will remind me of different things from 2011, not just one.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

     i. happier?
Most definitely.

     ii. thinner or fatter?
I'm a few pounds heavier now than I was this time last year.

     iii. richer or poorer?
Richer.  I have $25.  WHAT NOW?

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I really wish I'd been more productive, with everything.  Drawing, writing, homework, whatever.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
The same way I always do: Half my day spent in the kitchen helping Nana, the rest spent holed up in my room except for when we get to the presents.

21. Did you fall in love in 2011?
You know...I think I did.

22. How many one-night stands?
None.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
No clue.  Recently, it's been Ancient Aliens, because I love laughing at them.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

25. What was the best book you read?
Icy Sparks.  Sadly, I don't remember the author's name.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?

27. What did you want and get?
My tablet.

28. What did you want and not get?
More sleep.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?
Idefk.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 16, and other than turning a year older, I honestly don't remember what I did for my birthday.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I think my year was actually pretty satisfying as it was.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Plain and comfortable; just whatever went with the weather and the always good jeans and a t-shirt.

33. What kept you sane?
The people close to me, like my friends and Nana.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
...What?

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
I block politics out, since grandpa always watches Fox and CNN, and I get sick of hearing it.  

36. Who did you miss?
I kinda miss Casey and Katie from my Latin class last year.  They were really nice and fun to talk to, and made the year in that class better.  It wouldn't have been any fun staying to myself all year, now would it?

37. Who was/were the best new person(s) you met?
Emily, Eva, Elise, and Kristen.  I love making new friends~

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011?
I have a backbone, and I need to know how to use it.
